Substance Abuse

We provide level I and Level II cares for adolescents and adults. In the first phase of treatment we conduct an assessment prior to admission.

We are licensed by the Department of human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse to provide the following services:

1. LEVEL I ADULT OUTPATIENT
2. LEVEL I ADOLESCENT OUTPATIENT
3. LEVEL II ADULT IOP
4. LEVEL II ADOLESCENT IOP
5. DUI RISK EDUCATION

The goal of this interview is to determine the services that individual is in need of based on DSM-IV diagnostic criteria, ASAM placement criteria and information gathered during screening process.

AVANCE, Inc. is committed to create effectual treatment modalities as well as appropriate alcohol and drug treatment and prevention services to addicted/drug dependent and/or dependent male and female individuals and their families.

Our goal as a Substance Abuse treatment provider is to ensure that individuals overcome substance abuse and dependency so that they can lead healthy and productive lives and the social consequences of illegal drug abuse in our communities are lessened.

Each counselor assigned to conduct risk assessment and evaluations to Substance Abuse offenders have accumulated over a decade of experience in such activity and dealing with the criminal justice system through the Illinois circuit court of Cook County.

After conducting an extensive intake assessment that includes social, medical, psychosocial, criminal and mental health history, a contract for participation is made. A questionnaire about the use of drug and alcohol is also presented to the client.

The purpose of the evaluation is to determine the extent of the defendant's alcohol and/drug use and its associated risk to current or future public safety for those convicted of a DUI.

       During the assessment the following areas are reviewed:

1. The defendant's driving history,
2. chemical test results (B.A.C.),
3. and an interview with a qualified Substance Abuse evaluator.

Following this evaluation/assessment the client is recommended for group, individual or family counseling.
